The Safety of the Faithful To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah
But know that (2 Tim. 2:19) the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
(Ps. 119:11; Eph. 4:26) Be angry, and do not sin. Ps. 77:6 Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
Offer Deut. 33:19; Ps. 51:19 the sacrifices of righteousness, And Ps. 37:3, 5; 62:8 put your trust in the Lord .
There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Num. 6:26; Ps. 80:3, 7, 19 Lord , lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.
You have put Ps. 97:11, 12; Is. 9:3; Acts 14:17 gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
Job 11:19; Ps. 3:5 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; (Lev. 25:18); Deut. 12:10 For You alone, O Lord , make me dwell in safety.
