The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom Why Acts 4:25, 26 do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, And the (Matt. 12:14; 26:3, 4, 59–66; 27:1, 2; Mark 3:6; 11:18) rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His (John 1:41) Anointed, saying,
“Let Luke 19:14 us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
He who sits in the heavens Ps. 37:13 shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
“Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
“I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, Matt. 3:17; Mark 1:1, 11; Luke 3:22; John 1:18; Acts 13:33; (Heb. 1:5; 5:5) ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Ps. 89:23; 110:5, 6; (Rev. 2:26, 27; 12:5; 19:15) You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When (Rev. 6:16, 17) His wrath is kindled but a little. (Ps. 5:11; 34:22) Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
