Psalm 64 The Righteous Will Be Glad in Yahweh For the choir director. A Psalm of David.Hear my voice, O God, in my 64:1Or concern complaint;Guard my life from dread of the enemy.
Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers,From the tumult of the workers of iniquity,
Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed bitter speechastheir arrow,
To shoot 64:4Lit in from places of hiding at the blameless;Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.
They 64:5Lit make firm hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They 64:5Lit recount talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who can see them?”
They searched out unrighteousness, saying,“We have completed a diligent search”;For the 64:6Or inward part inward thought of a man andhisheart are 64:6Or unsearchable deep.
¶But God 64:7Or shot will shoot them with an arrow;Suddenly they will be wounded.
So 64:8Or they make their tongue a stumbling for themselves they will cause their own tongue to turn against them; All who see them will shaketheirhead.
Then all men 64:9Or feared will fear,And they 64:9Or declared will declare the work of God,And 64:9Or considered will consider 64:9Lit His work what He has done.
The righteous man will be glad in Yahweh and will take refuge in Him;And all the upright in heart will boast.
