2 Give heed to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God,For to You I pray.
3 O Yahweh, in the morning, 5:3Or May You hear You will hear my voice;In the morning I will ordermy 5:3Or sacrifice prayerto You andeagerlywatch.
4 ¶For You are not a God who delights in wickedness;Evil does not sojourn with You.
5 The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes;You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 You destroy those who speak falsehood;Yahweh abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
7 But as for me, in the abundance of Your lovingkindness I will enter Your house, 5:7 Or Toward At Your holy temple I will worship in fear of You.
8 ¶O Yahweh, lead me in Your righteousness because of 5:8Or those who lie in wait for me my foes;Make Your way 5:8Or smooth straight before me.
9 There is nothing 5:9Or true reliable in their mouth;Their inward part is destructionitself.Their throat is an open grave;They 5:9Or make their tongue smooth flatter with their tongue.
10 Hold them guilty, O God;By their own devices let them fall!In the abundance of their transgressions thrust them out,For they are rebellious against You.
11 ¶But let all who take refuge in You be glad,Let them ever sing for joy;And 5:11Or You shelter may You shelter them,That those who love Your name may exult in You.
12 For it is You who blesses the righteous one, O Yahweh,You surround him with favor as with a large shield.
