Walk in Love Therefore (Matt. 5:48); Luke 6:36; Eph. 4:32 be imitators of God as dear 1 Pet. 1:14–16 children.
And 1 Thess. 4:9 walk in love, John 15:9; Gal. 1:4;1 John 3:16 as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God Ex. 29:18, 25;2 Cor. 2:14, 15 for a sweet-smelling aroma.
But fornication and all Col. 3:5–7 uncleanness or (Luke 12:15) covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
Matt. 12:34, 35; Eph. 4:29; Col. 3:8; James 1:21 neither filthiness, nor Titus 3:9 foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, Rom. 1:28 which are not fitting, but rather Phil. 4:6; Col. 3:17; (1 Thess. 5:18) giving of thanks.
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any 1 Cor. 6:9, 10; Col. 3:5 inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Therefore do not be 1 Tim. 5:22 partakers with them.
Walk in Light For you were once darkness, but now you are 1 Thess. 5:5 light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
(for Gal. 5:22 the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),
(Rom. 12:1, 2) finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
And have 1 Cor. 5:9;2 Cor. 6:14 no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
Rom. 1:24 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
But (John 3:20, 21) all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Therefore He says: (Is. 26:19; 60:1; Rom. 13:11) “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”
Walk in Wisdom Col. 4:5 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
Col. 4:5 redeeming the time, Eccl. 11:2 because the days are evil.
Col. 4:5 Therefore do not be unwise, but (Rom. 12:2); Col. 1:9 understand 1 Thess. 4:3 what the will of the Lord is.
And Prov. 20:1; 23:31; Rom. 13:13;1 Cor. 5:11;1 Thess. 5:7 do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another Acts 16:25 in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making James 5:13 melody in your heart to the Lord,
Ps. 34:1 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father (1 Pet. 2:5) in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
(Phil. 2:3); 1 Pet. 5:5 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Marriage—Christ and the Church Wives, Eph. 5:22—6:9; Col. 3:18—4:1;1 Pet. 3:1–6 submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
For (1 Cor. 11:3) the husband is head of the wife, as also Col. 1:18 Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands Titus 2:4, 5 in everything.
Eph. 5:28, 33; Col. 3:19; (1 Pet. 3:7) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and Acts 20:28 gave Himself for her,
that He might sanctify and cleanse her John 3:5 with the washing of water (John 15:3; 17:17; Rom. 10:8; Eph. 6:17) by the word,
(2 Cor. 4:14; 11:2); Col. 1:22 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, Song 4:7 not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
For Gen. 2:23 we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:5; Mark 10:7 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the (1 Cor. 6:16) two shall become one flesh.”
This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless Col. 3:19 let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she 1 Pet. 3:1, 6 respects her husband.
