17 Avoid Divisive Persons Now I urge you, brethren, note those (Acts 15:1) who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and (1 Cor. 5:9) avoid them.
18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but Phil. 3:19 their own belly, and Col. 2:4;2 Pet. 2:3 by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
19 For Rom. 1:8 your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be Jer. 4:22; Matt. 10:16;1 Cor. 14:20 wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.
