  • 1 Sorrow for Israel’s Sins Woe is me! For I am like those who gather summer fruits, Like those who Is. 17:6 glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat Of the first-ripe fruit which Is. 28:4; Hos. 9:10 my soul desires.
  • 2 The Ps. 12:1; Is. 57:1 faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Hab. 1:15 Every man hunts his brother with a net.
  • 3 That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, The judge seeks a Amos 5:12; Mic. 3:11 bribe, And the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.
