Judgment of Israel’s Sin Do Is. 22:12, 13; Hos. 10:5 not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like other peoples, For you have played the harlot against your God. You have made love for Jer. 44:17 hire on every threshing floor.
The threshing floor and the winepress Shall not feed them, And the new wine shall fail in her.
They shall not dwell in (Lev. 25:23); Jer. 2:7 the Lord ’s land, Hos. 7:16; 8:13 But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, And Ezek. 4:13 shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord , Nor Jer. 6:20 shall their Hos. 8:13; Amos 5:22 sacrifices be pleasing to Him. It shall be like bread of mourners to them; All who eat it shall be defiled. For their bread shall be for their own life; It shall not come into the house of the Lord .
What will you do in the appointed day, And in the day of the feast of the Lord ?
For indeed they are gone because of destruction. Egypt shall gather them up; Memphis shall bury them. Is. 5:6; 7:23; Hos. 10:8 Nettles shall possess their valuables of silver; Thorns shall be in their tents.
The Is. 10:3; Jer. 10:15; Mic. 7:4; Luke 21:22 days of punishment have come; The days of recompense have come. Israel knows! The prophet is a Lam. 2:14; (Ezek. 13:3, 10) fool, Mic. 2:11 The spiritual man is insane, Because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity.
The Jer. 6:17; 31:6; Ezek. 3:17; 33:7 watchman of Ephraim is with my God; But the prophet is a fowler’s snare in all his ways— Enmity in the house of his God.
Hos. 10:9 They are deeply corrupted, As in the days of Judg. 19:22 Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.
“I found Israel Like grapes in the Jer. 2:2 wilderness; I saw your fathers As the Is. 28:4; Mic. 7:1 firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Num. 25:3; Ps. 106:28 Baal Peor, And separated themselves to that shame; Ps. 81:12 They became an abomination like the thing they loved.
As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird— No birth, no pregnancy, and no conception!
Though they bring up their children, Yet I will bereave them to the last man. Yes, Deut. 31:17; Hos. 7:13 woe to them when I depart from them!
Just Ezek. 26—28 as I saw Ephraim like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place, So Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.”
Give them, O Lord — What will You give? Give them Luke 23:29 a miscarrying womb And dry breasts!
“All their wickedness is in Hos. 4:15; 12:11 Gilgal, For there I hated them. Because of the evil of their deeds I will drive them from My house; I will love them no more. Is. 1:23; Hos. 5:2 All their princes are rebellious.
Ephraim is Hos. 5:11 stricken, Their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb.”
My God will 2 Kin. 17:20; (Zech. 10:6) cast them away, Because they did not obey Him; And they shall be Lev. 26:33 wanderers among the nations.
