  • 1 Lev. 19:35, 36; Deut. 25:13–16; Prov. 20:10, 23; Mic. 6:11 Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord , But a just weight is His delight.
  • 2 When pride comes, then comes Prov. 16:18; 18:12; 29:23 shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
  • 3 The integrity of the upright will guide Prov. 13:6 them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
  • 4 Prov. 10:2; Ezek. 7:19; Zeph. 1:18 Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But Gen. 7:1 righteousness delivers from death.
  • 5 The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright, But the wicked will fall by his own Prov. 5:22 wickedness.
  • 6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.
  • 7 When a wicked man dies, his expectation will Prov. 10:28 perish, And the hope of the unjust perishes.
  • 8 Prov. 21:18 The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead.
  • 9 The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.
  • 10 Prov. 28:12 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.
  • 11 By the blessing of the upright the city is Prov. 14:34 exalted, But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

  • 19 As righteousness leads to Prov. 10:16; 12:28 life, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own Prov. 21:16; (Rom. 6:23; James 1:15) death.
  • 20 Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord , But the blameless in their ways are His delight.
  • 21 Prov. 16:5 Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But Ps. 112:2; Prov. 14:26 the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.
  • 22 As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.
  • 23 The desire of the righteous is only good, But the expectation of the wicked Prov. 10:28; Rom. 2:8, 9 is wrath.
  • 24 There is one who Ps. 112:9; Prov. 13:7; 19:17 scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.
  • 25 Prov. 3:9, 10; (2 Cor. 9:6, 7) The generous soul will be made rich, (Matt. 5:7) And he who waters will also be watered himself.
  • 26 The people will curse Amos 8:5, 6 him who withholds grain, But Job 29:13 blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
  • 27 He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, Esth. 7:10; Ps. 7:15, 16; 57:6 But trouble will come to him who seeks evil.
  • 28 Job 31:24 He who trusts in his riches will fall, But Ps. 1:3; Jer. 17:8 the righteous will flourish like foliage.
  • 29 He who troubles his own house Eccl. 5:16 will inherit the wind, And the fool will be Prov. 14:19 servant to the wise of heart.
  • 30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And Prov. 14:25; (Dan. 12:3;1 Cor. 9:19–22; James 5:20) he who wins souls is wise.
  • 31 Jer. 25:29 If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner.
