19 For the Ex. 14:23 horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and Ex. 14:28 the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
20 The Song of Miriam Then Miriam Judg. 4:4 the prophetess, Ex. 2:4; Num. 26:59;1 Chr. 6:3; Mic. 6:4 the sister of Aaron, 1 Sam. 18:6;1 Chr. 15:16; Ps. 68:25; 81:2; 149:3; Jer. 31:4 took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her Judg. 11:34; 21:21;2 Sam. 6:16; Ps. 30:11; 150:4 with timbrels and with dances.
21 And Miriam 1 Sam. 18:7 answered them: Ex. 15:1 “Sing to the Lord , For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!”
22 Bitter Waters Made Sweet So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Gen. 16:7; 20:1; 25:18; Num. 33:8 Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no Ex. 17:1; Num. 20:2 water.
23 Now when they came to Num. 33:8; Ruth 1:20 Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people Ex. 14:11; 16:2; Ps. 106:13 complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
25 So he cried out to the Lord , and the Lord showed him a tree. 2 Kin. 2:21 When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He Josh. 24:25 made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there Ex. 16:4; Deut. 8:2, 16; Judg. 2:22; 3:1, 4; Ps. 66:10 He tested them,

For I am the Lord Ex. 23:25; Deut. 32:39; Ps. 41:3, 4; 103:3; 147:3 who heals you.”
27 Num. 33:9 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.
