3 We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have 1:4 Or toward for all the 1:4 Or holy ones saints,
5 because of the hope laid up for you in 1:5 Lit the heavens heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, 1:5 Or of the gospel the gospel

9 For this reason also, since the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the 1:9 Or true knowledge full knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

13 Who rescued us from the authority of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son of His love,

18 And He is the head of the body, the church;Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

21 And although you were formerly alienated and enemies in mindandin evil deeds,
22 but now He reconciled you in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and I fill up what is lacking of Christ’s afflictions in my flesh, on behalf of His body, which is the church,
25 of which I 1:25Lit became was made a minister according to the stewardship from God given to me for you, so that I might 1:25Lit make full the word of God fully carry outthe preaching ofthe word of God,
26 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from thepastages and generations, but has now been manifested to His 1:26Or holy ones saints,
27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28 Him we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man 1:28Lit in with all wisdom, so that we may present every man 1:28Or perfect complete in Christ.
29 For this purpose I also labor, striving according to His working, which He works in me in power.
